A Blog

Using his journals, in 2021 I sought to retrace Henry David Thoreau's steps and find the same natural discoveries and inspiration that he found on the same calendar day, route and destination. Each blog post starts with a quote (or two) from one of Thoreau's journal entries from the mid-1800s, followed by my own journal entry and photographs of my attempt to walk into history some 160-170 years later. For six months, I walked and journaled virtually every day with Thoreau as my guide.  In this blog, which I am now publishing in 2023, you will find some of my more memorable excursions.
